This is an archived post from 2024. Tropiclash never left development, and its systems and ideas have since been folded into the Solaris IP.

What is Tropiclash?

Tropiclash is a public Minecraft server concept filled with custom minigames, full games and theatrical live events. Blending creative concepts from its sister project, Destiny Games, Tropiclash aimed to bring unique gameplay experiences to players, offering an evolving and dynamic world.

Your raft

In Tropiclash, players experience a boating feature that centres around a customisable raft. This raft isn't just a personal hub, it's your floating farm and resource generator. Players can expand their rafts to include large-scale farms, inspiring a grind to create massive, profitable farming operations. As you progress, you unlock upgrades for your farm, including automated systems. To encourage active gameplay, participating in Tropiclash's minigames generates more revenue than passive farming, providing a balance between farming and active engagement.

The storyline

Tropiclash exists in a universe where powerful forces, mysterious events and deep connections shape the world. The storyline is rich with hidden secrets, ancient powers and fractures in reality that link different worlds. As you explore the island, you uncover fragments of a much larger story that spans multiple realities.

Explore Tropiclash Island

Your adventure begins on Tropiclash Island, a mystical land formed at the dawn of the universe. The island is connected to other territories like Otter Outpost, Rocketeers Refuge and Skull Island, all linked by a train system. Beneath the surface lies the Crystal Caverns, a place where you can upgrade your gear, tackle boss battles and uncover the island's secrets.

Join the adventure

Tropiclash was still in development at the time of writing, with a variety of games planned to be ported over from Destiny Games. Much of this vision, and the systems built for it, would go on to shape what became Solaris.
